Acid-Stop poster at International Union of Leather Technologists and Chemists Societies (IULTC) 2019 Congress

A paper coauthored by Hydronavitas and the Institute of Creative Leather Technologies at Northampton University will be presented in June 2019 at the IULTCS 2019 conference in Dresden.

Titled “Development of a Novel Method to Reduce the Impact of Cutaneous Chemical Attacks” the paper comes as a result of the Innovate UK funding of a research programme to determine the efficacy of Acid-Stop to reduce the impact of attacks using corrosive materials.

It describes the development of an optimised formulation that is amphoteric, which means that it can be effectively used on both acid and alkali, and which does not generate a thermal reaction which can cause further damage.
